Terms of Service

Effective date: October 9, 2026

These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for using the mobile game "Onsen Warlords" (the "App") provided by Shimateku Inc. ("we"). By using the App, you agree to these Terms. This is a translation of the Japanese version; if there is any conflict, the Japanese version prevails.

1. Scope

  1. These Terms apply to all relationships between you and us regarding the App.
  2. Rules and notices we show in the App or on our website form part of these Terms.
  3. Your information is handled under our separate Privacy Policy.

2. Minors

If you are a minor, please use the App with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Price and advertising

  1. The price of the App is the amount shown in each store, and purchases, payments, and refunds are governed by the rules of each store (App Store / Google Play).
  2. The App shows advertisements: banner ads at the bottom of some screens, and video ads that you choose to watch. The in-game effects of watching video ads are as described in the App.
  3. You are responsible for any data charges required to use the App.

4. Accounts and data

  1. The App creates an anonymous account on first launch and stores your game data with that account.
  2. To transfer your game data to a new device, you must first use "Link" in the App. If you uninstall the App or lose your device without linking, your game data may not be recoverable.
  3. You may not transfer, lend, buy, or sell accounts or game data.

5. In-game items

Koban, warlords, and other in-game items and data ("In-game Items") are licensed for use within the App only and do not give you ownership or any other property rights. In-game Items cannot be exchanged for money or for assets in any other service.

6. Inn names

  1. The inn name you choose is shown to other players in the rankings and in battles against other inns (shadow battles).
  2. Inn names must not contain anything that infringes others' rights; discriminatory, obscene, or violent expressions; content that demeans others; personal information such as real names or contact details; advertising; or anything else we consider inappropriate.
  3. We may change or hide inn names that we determine violate the above, without notice.

7. Prohibited conduct

You must not:

  1. Violate laws or public order and morals
  2. Modify, reverse engineer, or otherwise analyze the App, or use unauthorized tools
  3. Place excessive load on our servers or networks, or tamper with communications
  4. Obtain rankings, records, or In-game Items by improper means
  5. Infringe the rights of, or cause trouble for, other players, third parties, or us
  6. Fraudulently tap or view advertisements
  7. Use the App for commercial purposes without our permission
  8. Engage in any other conduct we consider inappropriate

8. Restrictions

If we determine that you have violated these Terms, we may, without prior notice, remove you from the rankings, modify or delete your game data, or suspend your use of the App.

9. Intellectual property

All rights in the images, text, audio, programs, and other works in the App and on this website belong to us or their rightful owners. The App is a work of fiction based on historical figures and events, and its characters and dialogue include creative elements.

10. Changes, interruption, and termination

  1. We may change the App, or temporarily suspend it for maintenance or due to failures.
  2. We may end the App after giving reasonable notice in the App or on our website.

11. Disclaimer

  1. We do not guarantee that the App is fit for any particular purpose, free of bugs, or works on every device.
  2. Except in cases of our intent or gross negligence, we are not liable for loss or damage to game data caused by network failures, device failures, bugs, or similar causes.
  3. Where we are liable to you for damages, except in cases of our intent or gross negligence, our liability is limited to direct damages that would ordinarily arise.
  4. The above does not apply where applicable law, including consumer protection law, does not allow our liability to be excluded or limited.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may change these Terms as needed. We will announce the changes and their effective date on this website or in the App before they take effect. If you use the App after the effective date, you are deemed to agree to the changed Terms.

13. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute relating to the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the district court having jurisdiction over our address as the court of first instance.
